Fringe Racing, Bike Racing and Photography at its best

Easter 1984! That was the date I first caught the motorbike racing bug, watching the Transatlantic Challenge Races between the UK and the US at Donington park.
Since then I’ve never been without a bike, starting with a Yamaha 250LC through to my current Suzuki GSXR1000 K5 with a whole mix in between but mostly sports bikes.

I’ve never needed to be the fastest or to be any good at wheelies or stuff like that but I have always been hooked on the speed and power of motorbikes and I’ve been lucky enough to drive some fast cars over the years but there just isn’t any comparison to a decent sport bikes acceleration. The feeling you get at the end of a fast ride with your hands still shaking from the adrenalin is unbeatable.

This inevitably led to doing track days and apart from the fact that after doing your first you will be hooked on them it also gives you a deeper appreciation of the level of skill and ability of the BSB boys when you watch them racing around the same circuits.

I have several friends who race at club level and after a few years of doing photography for them I decided to jump in and have a go myself. With this site being created to record my progress and on a budget of pretty much nothing its off to Silverstone for my first ever race….
